Nature Photos

This series of photographs records moments in being in the majestic Alberta Canadian Rockies. Taken between Banff, Jasper, and Lake Louise with a handheld Nikon N50 using an AF Nikon 35-80 mm lens on Ektachrome 100 slide film, these images, which have not been cropped or digitally touched up, offer the immediacy and directness of simply seeing. As an artist and educator, I am interested in observation. Shifting between panoramic views to get the big picture, and zooming in on crystal clear close-ups lets the viewer put together the whole story.
